Technical & Other Requirements For Fusion Ensemble Concert

Equipments and Arrangements...

4 to 5 armless chairs, 2 Tables Approx. 3-4 feet tall, 1 or 2 small stools, 6-7 not very cold, fresh water bottles.

2 Green Rooms ( Approx. 12 x 14 or bigger ) attached to the stage. If there are singers/dancers performing, then 2 more Green Rooms shall be required.

Unlimited, Unending & Uninterrupted supply of Hot Tea and Coffee all the time.

We request several volunteers for the required running around throughout the day of the concert.

Sound, Lights & Stage requirements...

Stage requirements...

Depending on the situation the stage should be made. But the minimum comfortable size of the stage is approximately 20 * 30 feet. The stage ideally is about 4 feet high. These dimensions can vary a bit according to the venue situations.

There should be 2 platforms on the stage. One of 6*6 for the drummer. This should be approximately 6 inches high. This should be covered with a carpet or any thick cloth. This prevents the drum kit from slipping and sliding.

And other one 4*4 for the Tabla player. This should be approximately 1.5 feet high. This platform too should be covered with a a carpet or any thick cloth. No mattress can be used.

If there is a Sitar player included in the performance, another platform exactly like the Tabla platform shall be required.

Sound System requirements...

Flute -    2 Mics ( 2 Shure - SM 58 )                     Tabla -    2 Mics ( 2 Shure - SM 58 )
Drums - 6 to 7 Drum Mics                                    Guitars - 3 to 4 Line outs and 3-4 Mics (SM 58
)

A minimum 16 Channel Mixer, with 2 Inserts, and 6 Sends. [24 Channel, in case of Singers performing with us.] Depending

2 Lexicon/Yamaha or equivalent Reverb / Delay units.   4 Compressor and Gate units.

Ample full 1/4 in 'Jack to Jack' and all sorts of other connector cables.

An assorted compilation of around 5-6 small and around 10-12 tall microphone stands.

If there are going to be Singers / Dancers or Percussionists / Instrumentalists included in the performances, then 10 or more Shure SM58 Mics in addition to the above mentioned, shall be required.
If Drums are not included in the scheduled concert, then of course, the respective microphones shall not be necessary.

The sound system should provide at least 4 separate mixes and full range monitors with separate Equalization facility, for  stage monitoring.

PA, Stage Amplifiers and Equipment...

1 Bass Amp, 2 Guitar Amps, and 1 Keyboard Amp. These Amps should be that of Mesa Boogie, Yamaha, Marshall, Fender or similar brand.

A professional quality Drum kit, consisting of 2 to 4 Toms & various Crash, Ride and Splash Cymbals.

Minimum 4 Multiple power supply boards for the power supply
of the individual equipment.

Good quality 3 Way Speaker System, adequate for the estimated number of audience.

Fusion Ensemble request minimum 3 hours of sound check prior to the concert. After finishing the sound check we request a gap of at least 2 hours, before the actual concert starts.


Lights...

80-100 ParCans, 8-10 Colour Labs, 8-12 Cyberscaners or Victory Scanners or better ones with controller units [Q-Commanders or better], 2-4 Moving Heads, 2-4 powerful Smoke Machines [SGM or Better ] with very long cables, and enough Power Packs etc.

All these requirements keep changing according to the nature of the concert. For example, if the concert is indoors and for some very few special guests, In all probability all these above mentioned lights would not be necessary, as they simply will increase the house temperature tremendously ! Or neither shall be required such a powerful PA system !!

So in short, it's really best to discuss all these things before the concert !!

 

Today, the success of a concert majorly depends on the technical support !

 


No part or portion of the performance shall be recorded in any format, Audio or Video or/and reproduced without a prior and separate agreement with Milind.
